Annariina Jokela (27)

Annariina Jokela was born in 1994 in the Finnish Lapland. She started her studies in 2013 at the Sibelius Academy, Helsinki, with Lilli Maijala. In 2015 she moved to Germany to study with Professor Nils Mönkemeyer at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, where she finished her Master’s degree on 2021. Currently, Annariina is continuing her studies at HEMU Sion in Switzerland with Professor Tatjana Masurenko.

Annariina was a finalist on the National Tampere Competition for viola (Finland, 2017) and National Soloist Talent Competition ”Janne” (Finland, 2015). She has won the second prize in in the viola category at the “North International Music Competition” in 2018. As a soloist, Annariina has performed with Hamburger Camerata, Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra and Sibelius Academy Symphony Orchestra.

Annariina holds a scholarship of Villa Musica Rheinland-Pfalz. She performs regularly as a chamber musician on various festivals including the well-known Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival. Annariina is also a regular guest in orchestras such as Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, The Chamber Orchestra of Lapland, Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and Munich Philharmonic Orchestra.
Annariina has attended on masterclasses with professors Roland Glassl, Atar Arad, Hartmut Rohde, Lars Anders Tomter, Diemut Poppen, Rainer Moog and Tabea Zimmermann among others.
